How do people "get it"?

How is one supposed to understand something, when xe doesn't know about it?

And how is xe supposed to know about it, when xe is not told anything about it?

Sometimes I have a feeling that I'm in a similar situation: I am supposed to understand something which I have no idea about, because I haven't told about it.

Of course for general humans, there is a possibility of "getting it", that is, without being told. However, that possibility isn't true for me. It doesn't work in me.
